Milan from Georgia — Malpensa, not “the middle of Italy”
Milan flies from KUT and TBS. MXP is Malpensa — far from the centre, not Linate. It is northern Italy’s capital, not Rome; a weekend fits the Duomo and the Navigli if you budget the airport train.

Compare Kutaisi and Tbilisi. Malpensa to the centre is a train or a bus; “the airport is in town” does not apply.
When
April–June and September–October. Mid-August means many shutters down. Fashion weeks are full — if that is why you fly, it is the calendar, not chance.
The city
The Duomo and the Galleria are the centre. Navigli is canals in the evening. Brera sits between. The metro works. The lakes (Como) are a separate day, not a morning before a curtain.
